I am a PhD student in the Mathematics department working in graph theory and social network analysis. I'm currently working on a project involving backbone extraction methods of bipartite projections and weighted graphs. I'm involved with both the American Mathematical Society Graduate Student Chapter and Association for Women in Mathematics at MSU. I like to spend my free time traveling and playing outside with my two dogs, Atlas and Tsuki.

I am pursuing PhD degree in Materials Science and Engineering at MSU. Before going to MSU for PhD, I got my Master of Science degree here two years ago then went back and worked in Vietnam. I have had some jobs related to manufacturing and R&D. These industrial sections are where I am interested in my future career. Besides science and technology, I am also interested in social and cultural knowledge and want to broaden my knowledge in these fields.

I'm a PhD candidate in the Social/Personality Psychology program in the Psychology Department at MSU. My research focuses on social categorization (the process by which we mentally categorize people into groups) and coordination (how people cooperate to achieve a common goal). I'm also interested in current discussions regarding replication in psychology (and science in general) and their implications for how we collect and analyze data.
